SUNNYVALE, Calif. — February 19, 2020 ThoughtSpot, the leader in search and AI-driven analytics, today announced Ken Rudin has joined the company’s executive team to drive user adoption and growth and lead efforts around embedded analytics. Rudin comes from Google, where he led user growth and analytics across the global business. In his role as SVP of User Growth and Embedded Analytics at ThoughtSpot, he will be instrumental in propelling global growth for enterprises during a time of booming demand for AI-powered analytics

As Global Head of User Growth and Analytics at Google, Rudin was responsible for driving sustained and measurable increases in user and customer acquisition, retention and revenue across all Google products and services including Google Search, Google Ads, YouTube, Google Cloud, Chrome, Google Maps, Google Photos and Google hardware products. In this role, Rudin led a team that was responsible for hundreds of millions of incremental user acquisitions annually and billions of dollars of incremental revenue annually. Prior to Google, Rudin built the Analytics organization at Facebook, which included both the Data Science teams and the Data Engineering teams.

Leadership Reacts

“The experience of consumer technology is on a collision course with enterprise software in a big way. For the first time, the people who use consumer apps are the same people using enterprise software, and they are demanding the same level of intuitiveness and delight,” said Sudheesh Nair, CEO, ThoughtSpot. “We want to be ahead of this massive shift. With folks like Bob Baxley and now Ken joining, we have the right team to help these organizations drive meaningful adoption throughout their business, while finding new ways to integrate search and AI-driven analytics into these enterprises’ broader strategic technologies initiatives.”

“Ken's background in making technology accessible to non-technical users from his time at Google, Facebook and Zynga will be a major force multiplier for ThoughtSpot. He has driven user growth for products that touch billions of people around the world. That experience will be immensely valuable as we look to bring analytics to every person, a critical step in realizing our mission of creating a more fact-driven world.” said Ajeet Singh, Cofounder & Executive Chairman, ThoughtSpot. “The analytics industry has undergone dramatic shifts in the last year, with innovations in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, search and machine learning fundamentally changing the way companies interact with their data and glean business insights. All of this has led to an increase in demand for AI-driven analytics that enable business users to make decisions quickly and more efficiently. Ken’s impressive background and deep expertise will help us meet this demand while exponentially improving our ability to reach new prospects in a smart and thoughtful way.”

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to create great products at innovative analytics companies, as well as drive transformational growth at innovative consumer companies like Google, Facebook, and Zynga whose apps touch billions of consumers around the world. By joining ThoughtSpot, I have the unique chance to bring these two worlds together and empower everyone with the power of analytics by making it as easy as their favorite consumer application,” said Ken Rudin, SVP of User Growth & Embedded Analytics. “It’s been invigorating to watch the company driving the next big wave of innovation in analytics by combining a deceptively simple user experience with powerful technology. I’m excited to join this incredible team and bolster their existing efforts during this next phase of growth.”
