ThoughtSpot Recognized as a 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Analytics and Business Intelligence

The Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice Distinction Is Based on Feedback and Ratings From End-User Professionals Who Have Experience Purchasing, Implementing and/or Using the Product or Service

SUNNYVALE, California – July 23, 2020 – ThoughtSpot, the leader in search & AI-driven analytics, is excited to share that they were named a Customers’ Choice in the July 2020 Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Analytics and Business Intelligence. Gartner defines Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms as a “self-contained architecture that enables users to autonomously execute full-spectrum analytic workflows from data access, ingestion and preparation to interactive analysis and collaborative sharing of insights.” ThoughtSpot was one of only two companies named a Customers’ Choice among all vendors cited in the report.

The Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Distinction is drawn from feedback from end users at companies who have purchased, implemented and/or used ThoughtSpot. To qualify, vendors must have a product that is listed in this market on Gartner Peer Insights, have their overall rating (out of 5 stars) above or equal to the mean rating for that market, and receive 50 or more eligible published customer reviews during the one-year submission period. In addition, customer reviews must be representative of a broad mix of enterprise clients from different industries, company sizes and deployment regions.[1]

ThoughtSpot’s search and AI-driven platform enables business users to engage directly with their data through a simple search interface, answer their own data questions,  and gather insights that drive meaningful actions. The company empowers business users with the ability to search billions of rows of data in seconds, without requiring deep technical training. By arming employees with these insights, customers like Walmart, Siemens, Hulu,  British Telecom, Royal Bank of Canada, and more are able to improve decision making, increase agility, and deliver better customer experiences.

ThoughtSpot was named a Leader in the February 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms, based on both the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“Everything we do, we do for our customers. There’s nothing more important than customers recognizing the value our platform can bring to their businesses as they look to transform themselves for today’s digital world.  To us, being named a 2020 Customers’ Choice for Analytics and Business Intelligence is especially important because it’s based on reviews from actual end users,” said Sudheesh Nair, CEO, ThoughtSpot. “This is the first time we’ve been named for this distinction, and to me and our team, shows that our work to help serve users in data analysts, business users, and leaders are paying off. We don’t take this lightly, however, and know there’s much work to do to fulfill these expectations.”
