SUNNYVALE, Calif. — October 6, 2021 — ThoughtSpot, the Modern Analytics Cloud company, today announced that it has been recognized by TrustRadius with a 2021 Tech Cares Award. This second annual award celebrates companies that have gone above and beyond to provide strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
ThoughtSpot was recognized for CSR initiatives, including:
Partnering with the ‘girls + data’ organization to increase data literacy, pique interest, and provide exposure to non-coding careers in technology by making the subject of data interesting and relevant to middle and high school girls.
Volunteering at Mark Cuban Foundation’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Boot Camp for high school students, which introduces underserved students in grades 9 through 12 to basic AI concepts and skills. This includes hosting the Atlantic City workshop and providing guest speakers to workshops in multiple cities.
Rolling out the Codex patent program to spur employee innovation and creative thinking and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship for every employee.
Encouraging employee-led affinity groups that are dedicated to providing professional and personal growth opportunities, while promoting diversity and inclusion within the company culture.
Conducting a study and cohort analysis to better understand how team diversity stacks up among other startups, and subsequently launching four task forces — education & inclusion, volunteering & giving, communications, and hiring & retention — to address the specific components of having a diverse team makeup.
Prioritizing diverse and inclusive recruitment initiatives to ensure that hiring processes are fair and that underrepresented community members are seen and supported.
“Above all else, ThoughtSpot is committed to building a more fact-driven world, and that requires nurturing talent and a community that’s as diverse and inclusive as the world around us,” said Pam Holmberg, Head of People, ThoughtSpot. “Our efforts to hire, support, and retain talent from all walks of life go hand in hand with our partnerships with incredible organizations like girls + data and the Mark Cuban Foundation. Solving the hardest problems in data is only possible when the best ideas are given an equal platform. While I’m excited to celebrate today’s recognition from TrustRadius, it’s also a reminder of how much work we still need to do, both as a company and as an industry, to truly realize this important goal.”
“We're excited to announce our second annual Tech Cares Award winners,” said TrustRadius CEO Vinay Bhagat. “The past two years have tested the tech community. We've been inspired by watching leaders in the B2B technology industry pursue meaningful progress in social, environmental, and cultural spaces. Not only do we feel that these companies are deserving of recognition—we also consider them a great example as we build a stronger future together.” To be accepted for the Tech Cares Award, each nominated organization had to be a B2B technology company that demonstrated strong CSR in 2020 and 2021. Everyone was welcome to nominate an organization for this award, including those who work for or with the company. All nominations were thoroughly vetted by the TrustRadius research team.
