What it means to lead with values at ThoughtSpot
When we talk about culture at ThoughtSpot, we’re really talking about values in motion. Our values don’t just show up in all-hands slides or onboarding docs—they show up in how we make decisions, support each other, and show up for our customers every day.
From the beginning, Selfless Excellence has anchored that culture. It’s the mindset behind our belief that we’re only 2% done, and the reason we keep pushing to dream bigger, move faster, and win together.
This year, we brought those values into even sharper focus with the launch of The Icon Awards: a program to recognize Spotters who truly embody what it means to live our values every day. Each award reflects one of our core values: Trust, Customer Obsession, Innovation, and Intensity.
The Spotters we’re celebrating don’t just get the job done; they raise the bar, inspiring all of us along the way.
Here is what the 2026 Q1 Icon Award Winners had to say:
Trust Icon Award: Rachel Borger, Regional Director
“I'm incredibly honored to win the Trust Icon Award. In my time at ThoughtSpot, I’ve continuously had people go above and beyond for me–taking time out of their day to teach me, mentor me, or just simply answer a question on Slack.
I've always tried to pay this forward, and it means so much to have that recognized!”
Rachel’s reflection captures what trust looks like in action at ThoughtSpot: people investing in each other, sharing their time and knowledge, and paying that support forward.
Customer Obsession Icon Award: Martha Miller, Customer Success Architect
“Customer Success encompasses so many things and can be hard to quantify. I take great pride in going above and beyond to solve problems and help customers make the most of our innovations.
I was surprised and truly honored to be recognized as the Customer Obsession Icon Award winner for the last quarter.”
Martha shows how Customer Obsession goes beyond metrics. It’s about listening deeply, solving problems creatively, and making sure customers get real value from our innovations.
Innovation Icon Award: Abey Thomas, Senior Member of Technical Staff
“Winning the Innovation Icon Award means a lot to me because it reflects the mindset I try to bring every day: questioning defaults, pushing for meaningful performance gains, and using AI as a force multiplier rather than a shortcut.
For me, innovation is about taking ownership, exploring ideas even when they aren’t on the roadmap, and delivering outcomes that make the product and the team better. I am grateful for the recognition and for the people who continually push me to raise the bar.”
Abey’s words highlight what innovation means at ThoughtSpot: curiosity, ownership, and turning bold thinking into tangible outcomes for our product and our teams.
Intensity Icon Award: Bharat Mudedla, Senior Technical Program Manager
“A moment of elation in winning the Intensity Icon Award!!!! It brings joyful tears when appreciation or recognition hits unexpectedly. All the hours spent making a difference will be forgotten in movements like this. This will only push me harder.
I am deeply grateful to everyone, including the leaders, for your unwavering support and belief in me.”
Bharat embodies Intensity as a focused, purpose-driven commitment to making a difference, and his reaction speaks to how meaningful recognition can be when it reflects that effort.
We’ll be honoring winners every quarter, and these Spotters don’t just live our values—they set the standard for what it means to be truly iconic.
