Paul Mauschbaugh

Paul has spent over 20 years at Caterpillar starting as a Computing Engineer on the Engine and Machine simulation teams. Paul was a part of the team the partnered with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and the University of Illinois to build the first virtual reality cave in Champaign IL, based on Cat’s full machine simulation capability. The partnership with NCSA is also what exposed Paul to the emerging WWW and stimulated a career shift to initial internet technologies in IT. Paul transitioned to Leadership in Digital, managing capability delivery teams including http://www.Cat.com, Cat Dealer Websites, Cat’s online PartStore, and Employee and Supplier portals. Paul then shifted his career again, this time moving into the commercial world, playing the New Product Introduction manager role for Product Link (Cat’s telematics product) as well as AccuGrade (Cat’s GPS Grading Solution). Paul followed his work with Product and Dealers as an early leader in Cat’s Analytics organization, helping build out the initial Enterprise Analytics strategy and focusing significantly on Supply Chain and Marketing analytics. Paul’s current role in Analytics is focused on deploying Analytics to Cat Dealers as well as the leader of the Analytics R&D function. Paul’s career spanning Engineering, IT, Marketing & Digital, and 10+ years in Digital & Analytics has allowed him to develop significant understanding of many aspects of the Caterpillar business. Paul holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
